- Accumulator
- A single bet that links multiple selections; all must win for the bet to pay out.
- Anytime Goal Scorer
- A bet on a player to score at any point during the match.
- Arbitrage
- Betting on all possible outcomes across different bookmakers to guarantee a profit regardless of the result.
- Asian Handicap
- A bet that gives one team a virtual head‑start or deficit (e.g., +0.5, -1) so the match can’t end in a draw.
- Banker Bet
- A highly confident selection added to an accumulator to boost odds, often used to increase potential payout.
- Bankroll
- The total amount of money set aside for betting.
- Bookmaker Margin
- The built‑in profit margin a bookmaker ensures by adjusting odds so they total more than 100%.
- Both Teams to Score (BTTS)
- A bet on whether each team will score at least one goal during the match.
- Cash Out
- A feature that lets you settle a bet before the event ends, locking in a profit or limiting a loss.
- Correct Score
- A bet that predicts the exact final score of a match.
- Double Chance
- A bet that covers two of the three possible outcomes (home win, draw, or away win) in a single wager.
- Draw No Bet
- A bet that refunds your stake if the match ends in a draw, and pays out if your chosen team wins.
- First Goal Scorer
- A bet on which player will score the first goal in the match.
- Goal Line
- A line set by the bookmaker representing the total expected goals in a match, similar to over/under.
- Hat-Trick
- A bet on a player scoring three goals in a single match.
- Hedging
- Placing a bet on the opposite outcome to an existing bet to reduce risk or secure a profit.
- In-Play Betting
- Bets placed after the match has started, with odds that update as the game progresses.
- Juice
- The commission or fee that a bookmaker adds to the odds, often referred to as the ‘vig’.
- Lock
- A bet considered almost certain to win, often used to describe a ‘safe’ selection.
- Odds
- The price that reflects the likelihood of an outcome, also showing the potential payout for a winning bet.
- Outright Bet
- A bet on which team will win a tournament, league, or competition, settled after the final result.
- Over/Under
- A bet on whether the total number of goals in a match will be higher (over) or lower (under) than a set number.
- Pre-Match Betting
- Bets placed before the match begins, based on the starting odds.
- Stake
- The amount of money you place on a bet.
- Value Bet
- A bet where the odds offered are higher than the true probability of the outcome, suggesting an edge.
